A Very Quick And Unfortunate Post

Hello Dearies,

Yes, I haven't posted in awhile, (blame school) but I thought I would make a small, and rather unfortunate announcement regarding one of my personal favorite bands...

This is no joke, yet I wish it was. After a country-wide summer tour, DELUHI will be disbanding.

The following message was posted on the band’s official site:

DELUHI has been on an activity pause since December 1st of last year, however, today (April 1st, 2011) we are announcing that after a country-wide summer tour, “DELUHI LAST TOUR -VANDALISM-”, we will be disbanding.

After the completion of our tour last fall, we went on an activity pause to “make even a bigger step forward in the future”, however, during our break the feelings of the members wanting to leave DELUHI only hardened. We realized that DELUHI’s activities could not continue on with the four of us; Juri, Leda, Aggy and Sujk.

As a result of numerous discussions between all the members, we decided in the end that DELUHI could not continue with these four members. We came to the conclusion that doing activities under DELUHI without these members would be meaningless, and we therefore chose to disband.

We sincerely apologize to the fans that have been waiting for us to resume activities and to those who have continued to show their support.

This was not a decision that was easily made by the members or the staff.

For our last country-wide tour that will start from July 1st, in hopes of presenting with all our power everything that DELUHI has been through these past three years, alongside the fans, we will devote ourselves to making these lives the best time possible.

Until the end, we hope that you will continue to watch over us.

To all of the fans who have continued to support DELUHI and to everyone involved with the band, we truly thank you.

Pray For Japan: Earthquake in Japan. Additional JRock News. Order Delays

Hello Dearies!

Well, the earthquake in Japan was rather intense! If you didn't know, Japan was hit by a massive earthquake (8.9 in magnitude) and a tsunami. It was one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded in history.

Hundreds have died, and R.I.P to those innocent lives, and my prayers go out to those who have lost a loved one in Japan. For those who have worried about your JRockers, don't sweat. So far, pretty much everyone in the VK/JRock scene is fine. Alice Nine and The Gazette are safe, although Uruha's DVD shelf collapsed and Reita attempted to save his bass. However, it is unsure if Yuki from AnCafe is okay or not.

However, there may be some other things to worry about:

*Unsraw has decided to disband after vocalist Yuuki left the group

*Rei and Thera of Danger Gang has left the band. Hiko and Waka will remain and continue

*TOON-FACTORY has decided to disband due to differences in opinion. Their last tour will kick off on May 13th.

* bands LICKER and Amber Bullet disband as well as a few others.

Wow, the disbanding trend is going crazy. Do you think there are any possibilities as to why bands are quitting all of a sudden?

Also, for those who have ordered something from Nippon, the orders will be delayed for a few weeks due to earthquake.

Prayers go out to those in Japan. What do you think of these bands quitting so suddenly? Did you happen to order anything in Japan? For no, I must sign off.

Sincerely,

Denni

Vidoll heads to Taiwan Before They Disband. Sakito Bears it All? and other JRock News. Possible Guides To Come?

Hello Dearies!

As I have promised, I will try to manage at least one entry a week. Things are a bit more easier now that all projects and exams have been finished, hehe. For now, let's head-on to the JRock News!

According to CDJapan, D will release a new live DVD on April 27th, which is called [D Live Tour 2010 "In the name of justice" Final] and it will cost 5000 Yen.

Live DVD release from D featuring footage of the band’s concert at SHIBUYA-AX on Dec. 30, 2010. They played “In the name of justice” and more for 28 tracks total.

Sakito will be showing off his figure on the April issue of SHOXX magazine. I’m sure most of you guys have seen and heard about this already but I'm curious to know your opinions on the newest cover of the magazine!!

After Yuusuke left 12012 back in October, he has now branched out and is starting a new solo project going to be called high-ball!

They are going to have a full album called high-ball that should be released April 27th. What do you guys think?

He calls God “puny.” He treats his fans like garbage and they love it. He can grow his hair out over a meter in length overnight. He is Mr.SaTaN!

Shortly after the band called SaTaN went on hiatus, front-man Mr.SaTaN moved on and formed his new solo project called Frenzy. In arecent live show he ravaged the audience while he and his band, a star-studded super-group consisting of Yuu (guitarist from LIX.) Kiwamu (label owner and guitarist of GPKISM), HIY (drummer from SUICIDE ALI), and Mia, all headbangned their way through the set.

In talking with HearJapan, Mr.SaTaN spoke a bit about his new Frenzy “masterpiece,” an album called I’m Frenzy of Liberty!!. It’s a collection of heavy rock guitar, industrial beats and massive synth work, not to mention Mr.SaTaN’s uniquie blend of screaming, singing and chant-like vocal work. As if the song weren’t enough to send you cowering in fear, the exclusive HearJapan release comes jam-packed with a huge number of exclusive live photos unavailable anywhere else, English lyrics and a DVD image file that you can burn that contains commentary from Mr.SaTaN himself. This is truly the ultimate collect for any self-respecting vis-kei, industrial and/or goth rock fan.

You can get all of it Wednesday, February 16th for a measly ¥1,000 | $12.01 | €8.81.

You puny underlings! Bow before Mr.SaTaN!!

After disbandment, BLOOD will be revived. 3rd period BLOOD members vocalist Fu-ki and bassist Kaeda got married and had retired from the music scene.
Therefore there is a change in band members.

Now they have finally revealed their 4th period members and their new look.

The 4th period members are:
Vocal: Hayato
Guitar: Kiwamu
Bass: Azami (project-Merrow-)
Drums: Dora

Other than having a live at Meguro Rockmaykan on June 4th, the band will be releasing their 1st Maxi Single after revival, titled [Bathory] on June 15th.
So far the tour dates have not been confirmed, but do stay tuned for more information.

Last month, VIDOLLannounced that they will disband and have one last live at Shinkiba Studio Coast, but it seems that there is good news for their fans in Taiwan. The band will have be performing in Taipei on March 27th!

Ah, March has come, which means Sakura Season will be here pretty soon. Are you guys excited?

After much consideration, I've decided to create a Visual Kei guide! I'll go from makeup to hair, to clothing, and everything in between! It'll be a bit helpful for the upcoming season, since it is a time to branch out, and possibly try something new. Or, if you already have experience in the scene, maybe get some new tricks up your sleeve? Hey, you never know...

For now, I must sign off! What do you think of any of the VK news I posted up? You excited about spring and/or sakura season? How about that VK Guide?

Sincerely,

Denni

I AM SOOOOOO SORRY! New Wattpad Account, and JRock News

Dearest Readers,
I sincerely and heartfully apologize for my long-termed absence. Yes, I know I'm very lazy. Yes, I admit that I haven't posted anything lately. And yes, I am a terrible blogger who loves to procrastinate. I know, I know, I know!

Well, (hopefully) that will change, because one of my (late) New Year's Resolutions is to be more active in the writing, blogging, and JROCK internet fandom scene. I vow to blog more often, write more articles, and create more fanfics (because I haven't done any of these lately)

You may wonder why I've become so "lazy". In fact, I haven't become lazy at all. I've been so busy with applications for schools, exams, and some personal drama in between, that I haven't been able to sit down on a darn laptop and type to the max.

But now, that will change, because:
1) there's a one-week break, which will give me some time to catch up
2) I'm able to go to more places
3) I'm more organized, and can write at least 1 entry a week.

So, dearies, I hope that'll make up for what has been lost! Right?!

Now, to make it up to you, I'll bring up some news in the VK/JRock Scene!

I decided to make one for the stories I've created that aren't fanfics, and also because it is more formal. My account is here. I have yet to put up some stories, so technically, it's under construction

Well, I must sign off for now. Happy Reading! What do you think of the news in the VK scene? Anything I miss? What do you think of Wattpad?

Kra/Mai 1000 Paper Crane Project.. Asian Tomboys, Anyone?

Hello, Dearies
Long time no see, huh? Due to exams and schoolwork, I haven't been able to be up-to-date with
the latest in Visual Kei.

However, I do have some interesting news regarding Mai of Kra.

Visual Kei band Kra has announced that their guitarist Mai will be retiring from the group, making his farewell live at their December 28th concert at the Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall.

Mai has stated that the reason for his departure from the group stems from a previous health condition. After much discussion with the band and the staff, he has decided that it would be best for him to retire from performing and concentrate on receiving medical treatment. After his departure, Kra will continue on as a three member group with Keiyuu (vocals), Yura (bass), and Yasuno(drums).

We wish him the best, and we don’t blame him for the decision given the rash of deaths that seem to have struck the Visual Kei scene recently.

Kra TOUR 2010 FINAL「Heart to Heart~Kanjou no Rinkaku~」

December 28th – Tokyo – Shibuya C.C.Lemon Hall

OPEN 17:30 / START 18:00

Due to this, a group on Facebook is creating 1000 cranes as a tribute to Mai and the band. It's also nice fanmail since they will be unable to see them live.. Here's the group: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_155951501117159&ap=1

Anyways, there's been a huge trend in Asia! Mainly in China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan; Asian Tomboys.

One of the categories in Asian fashion that interest me the most the category of Asian Tomboys.

So, what is exactly is an Asian Tomboy?
An Asian tomboy is someone who is female and Asian. This person does not dress like a girl for the most part. They bind their breasts in various ways, such as using a vest, duct tape, ace wrap, etc. They dress like guys, look like guys, and are usually mistake to be guys, and many girls go crazy for them to the point where they think they're "turning lesbian" because they start liking these girls dressed as guys.

Asian Tomboys are not necessarily lesbian, but a majority of them usually are lesbian. They have awesome haircuts. Their fashion is so amazing. Okay, I'm probably digressing here a bit, but I am just amazed at how open Asian tomboys are, and how they enjoy just being themselves. Kudos to every Asian tomboy in the world who are comfortable to dress up and be comfortable with themselves.

So what are some differences between Asian Tomboys and Western Tomboys?
  • First of all, Western tomboys have larger chests. Asian tomboys have flatter chests, especially when they bind.
  • Asian Tomboys tend to be more over the top when they dress up, especially the hair, where majority of Asian tomboys have the "Asian mullet" hairstyle.
Within the Asian tomboy community, there are actually some popular Asian tomboys from various countries, such as Hyun Bi Hyul from South Korea, Junike "Nike" Orlando from Taiwan, etc.

What do you think of the Crane Project? Do you approve of Asian tomboys? For now, I must sign off.

Sincerely,
Denni

Hello dearies,

My hiatus is finally over, and with the Thanksgiving weekend, I am able to be a bit more up-to-date with all things J-Culture!

Now, I am starting again with Harajuku/ J-Culture News once again!

* Harajuku Hearts, a webshop that sells items in Japan, recetly opened up a shop in San Fransico, selling particularly rock, goth, punk, and lolita clothing. The store is on 15 Kearny Street, San Fransico, California. They open from Monday to Sunday from 11-7pm, so be sure to chaeck it out!

* Angelic Pretty released a Holy Night Story Series. They come in OP, 3 types of JSK, and skirt

*Metamorphose is having a collaboration with the anime, SHIKI, and released a dress on November 13. SHIKI has already collaborated with BPN, Angelic Pretty, Algonquins, Putumayo, and Atelier Pierrot

* Tokyo Rebel has some new releases from Angelic Pretty, and here's a quick reminder that they're having a Black Friday sale tomorrow!

Phew! That was a mouthful! Now, Style Arena has spotted one of the latest style tribe. The tribe has been going around for years, which is Neo Rockabilly. They've been around since the 80's, and is also known as "roller-zoku". Elvis hair, leather, and shades galore!

Multiple Visual Kei Bands Hit The Road? SuG PV Release. Hiatus Finally Coming To An End. Black Friday Madness!

Hello once again, Dearies!

I have returned once again! However, this time, I don't have much positive news....

Yet another Visual Kei band is pausing their activities. Deluhi, one of my favorite visual kei bands up-to-date is taking a break from musical activities. Starting December 1st, each of the members will take a break so they can individually increase their musical skills and "musical power of expression." Until then, there are no new releases or lives.

Ayabie will be on a "temporary pause" as well. Yumehito, Takehito, Intetsu, and Kenzo resigned from the band. Aoi, the vocalist, announced that Ayabie will be on a hiatus, even though he attempts to plug in alone. However, I watched a recent pv, Surrender Love, and it seems that Aoi is flying solo. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6-qFESLUv4

Whoa! Not done yet! Kagrra seems to be disbanding in March.

After a ten-year run, the band is calling quits. They will bid farewell with an new album on February 2nd, Hyakkikenran, and a tour on February 13th-March 3rd at C.C. Lemon Hall in Tokyo.

SaTaN also had a last live recently with the four original members. Shiya and DK are leaving the horror visual kei band, while Mr. Satan and Hi-Na fend for themselves.

On top of that, Valluna, nil delete heads, ALiBi, ZEST, Bi;shop, and DISQLOC have called it quits as well...

This is starting to get ridiculous! Is there something going on within the visual kei scene? Are the record companies behind this? Leave a comment below.

On the bright side, SuG has released a new PV, entitled Mujouken Koufukuron. It is rather melodic, and features Kera's model, Amo! You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOtGzxaHYoE

Well, turkey day is coming up, and everyone's excited. However, everyone is excited about black friday. Tokyo Rebel is having a sale on both their online store and their shop in NYC. More info here: http://blog.tokyorebel.com/

I've also heard around the street that some alternative stores are having sales as well... hmmm.... I guess I'll have to take out my camera phone and some comfy shoes and head to St. Marks! What do you think?

What do you think of the round of VK band pauses and breakups? Are you ready for Black Friday? Should I check out what's going on in St. Marks?

For now, I shall sign off! Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Denni
